About this role
Nestled in the heart of the Retirement Village, the 41-bedroom Care Home offers dedicated residential care set within beautiful grounds. We pride ourselves on offering comfortable bedrooms and excellent standards of care. We are looking for a Deputy Manager to work closely with the Home Manager to manage and support the care team to deliver person-centred care to residents.
You’ll oversee and assist all aspects of nursing care activities within the home. With the help of your team, you’ll create and update individual electronic care plans for residents, maintaining clear, accurate and up-to-date medication records. You’ll ensure correct staffing levels are maintained through efficient management of rotas.
Drawing on your clinical experience, you’ll provide day-to-day support and guidance to the team, promoting residents' independence, choice and dignity. You’ll build lasting relationships with residents and the people they care about, fostering a sense of community. You’ll create strong relationships with local partners to raise the care home’s profile.

Requirements
- Previous experience of working as a Deputy Manager within a care home environment with commitment to CQC standards
- Understanding of the benefits that the right nursing care can bring to residents’ lives, championing independence, choice and dignity
- Effective communicator able to build strong and honest relationships with residents and their families
- Natural leader ready to share clinical experience, leading and mentoring a team, delegating effectively
- Excellent time management to effectively prioritise workload
- Respectful and compassionate team player with belief in giving personal best
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge and experience in electronic care planning highly desirable
