Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain)
- BCLS certification
- New Grad Nurses must complete the Residency Program
- At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in inpatient psychiatry/medical (preferred)
- Nursing Certification/s (preferred)
- Knowledge of nursing process: social, behavioral, biological and physical science
- Ability to analyze patient care data to deliver and evaluate care
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing practices to behavioral health and medicine patients
- Apply nursing process incorporating social, behavioral, biological, and physical sciences
- Analyze patient care data to deliver and evaluate individualized care
- Utilize knowledge of current health care environment in patient management
- Implement customer service principles to enhance patient satisfaction
- Employ effective interpersonal communication skills with patients and teams
- Document care using computer applications
