Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain)
BCLS certification
New Grad Nurses must complete the Residency Program
At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in inpatient psychiatry/medical (preferred)
Nursing Certification/s (preferred)
Knowledge of nursing process: social, behavioral, biological and physical science
Ability to analyze patient care data to deliver and evaluate care

Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing practices to behavioral health and medicine patients
Apply nursing process incorporating social, behavioral, biological, and physical sciences
Analyze patient care data to deliver and evaluate individualized care
Utilize knowledge of current health care environment in patient management
Implement customer service principles to enhance patient satisfaction
Employ effective interpersonal communication skills with patients and teams
Document care using computer applications
