About this role

Priory Hospital Arnold is looking to recruit a Bank Nurse to join the team. This is a bank role of 0 hours per week. The hospital, based in Calverton, Nottingham and set in extensive grounds, is an inpatient acute and psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) for males and females struggling with mental health conditions.

You will be part of a compassionate team committed to patients' wellbeing. The team takes a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans.

Undertake routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients. Accurately observe and engage with patients to assess their needs and evaluate progress. Monitor and review nursing care plans within the inpatient acute and PICU environment.

Requirements

  • Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with 6-12 months post registration experience
  • Active NMC Registration and completed preceptorship programme
  • Knowledge of NMC guidelines, requests and professional practices
  • Evidence of post registration continuing professional development
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality

Responsibilities

  • Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework
  • Assess, plan and deliver nursing care with the patient and their carer/family, acting as the patient's named nurse
  • Accurately observe and engage with patients to assess their need and evaluate their progress
  • Monitor and review nursing care plans
  • Assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans
  • Undertake routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients
