The registered nurse renders highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients in Special Care Nursery.

The registered nurse provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Schedules include 3x12hr shifts with day/night rotating from 7a-7:30p and 7:15p-7:15a, every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays. This role focuses on population specific care in the Special Care Nursery.

The registered nurse oversees other assigned team members in delivering care. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support. Adheres to BORN regulations and professional standards of care throughout all activities.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse license in accordance with BORN regulations
  • Ability to provide population specific care in Special Care Nursery
  • Experience in neonatal or Special Care Nursery setting
  • Proficiency in the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
  • Collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
