About this role
Backpack Healthcare seeks a part-time PMHNP for a flexible, fully remote psychiatric practice focused on children, teens, and young adults. Work from anywhere in Maryland with an active license, building a consistent caseload around afternoons, evenings, and weekends. This role suits those supplementing income, balancing commitments, or transitioning to telehealth.
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations via telehealth, formulate evidence-based diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans with families. Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitor effectiveness, and provide brief supportive therapy and psychoeducation. Ensure coordinated care through partnerships with therapists and care teams.
Thrive in a collaborative care model with therapists, psychiatrists, and care coordinators in an integrated behavioral health setting. Requirements
- Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited PMHNP program
- Active, unrestricted Maryland PMHNP license & DEA
- Board Certification (PMHNP-BC)
- Experience with or passion for working with youth and families
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Comfort practicing in a telehealth environment
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations via telehealth
