Bayside Health delivers high-quality care across every stage of life for close to 1.2 million people in metropolitan Melbourne and surrounding regions. Alfred Infant Child and Youth Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (ICYAMHWS) provides accessible mental health services inclusive of family, friends and support networks. It is a specialist, multi-disciplinary intensive care service for ages 0-26.
Mental health clinicians provide clinical assessment and intervention, case-management and single session/brief therapy with children and young people experiencing emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties and their families. Responsibilities include discipline specific consultation and assessment to clients and clinical services internal and external to ICYAMHWS. Services cover perinatal care, neurodevelopmental presentations, eating disorders and outreach support.

Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or equivalent
- OR Bachelor Degree in Nursing or equivalent plus approved postgraduate qualification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
- Demonstrated capability in the provision of a full range of mental health interventions at a senior level
- Australian working rights
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical assessment and intervention for children and young people with emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties
- Deliver case-management services to clients and their families
- Offer single session/brief therapy to young people and families
- Provide discipline specific consultation to internal and external clinical services
- Conduct assessments for clients experiencing mental health challenges
- Support families/carers through inclusive mental health interventions
- Contribute to specialist services in perinatal care, neurodevelopmental presentations and eating disorders
