About this role

This agency nursing position is for Long Term Care facilities north of the Indianapolis area. PRN 12-hour night shifts and weekends are available for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs). Nurses provide for the daily care, health needs, safety and comfort of the resident.

Nurses assure that restorative nursing care measures are performed as indicated and ordered. They review medication systems and clinical records to verify that medical records are properly maintained and updated. Daily assignments of nursing staff are reviewed to assure duties are consistent with ability and training.

Nurses maintain open communication with nursing management on conditions of the nursing unit and concerns related to staff, residents and visitors. They supervise and manage personnel on the unit. Nurses assist and instruct staff in special treatments and nursing care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Possess a valid RN or LPN license in good standing according to State and Federal requirements
  • Ability to supervise and manage nursing personnel
  • Proficiency in reviewing medication systems and clinical records
  • Knowledge of restorative nursing care measures for long-term care residents
  • Flexibility to work PRN 12-hour night shifts and weekends across facilities
